IT Technician / IT Support (Full-Time)

I.D. Booth, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT Technician to join our dynamic team in our Elmira office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for the company’s computer systems, networks, and related technologies across our branches.

Responsibilities

Hardware and Software Support

  • Set up new desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, cell phones, scanners, printers, and other peripherals
  • Troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues, including resolving printer problems
  • Update operating systems and install software on desktops and laptops
  • Remove viruses and spyware from desktops and laptops
  • Configure and troubleshoot connections between desktops/laptops and servers
  • Maintain security camera systems; replace cameras as needed
  • Run and terminate Ethernet lines; troubleshoot Ethernet radios
  • Replace AP’s and switches (indoor and outdoor) when necessary

Network Administration

  • Set up network connections on desktops and laptops
  • Understand and troubleshoot various network setups, including LAN, WAN, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and fiber optic networks
  • Assist network administrators as needed

User Support

  • Answer help desk calls, emails, and in-person requests, providing support to end-users
  • Escalate issues to appropriate personnel when necessary
  • Provide informal or formal training to users on computer hardware and software usage
  • Disconnect, move, and reconnect desktops, laptops, and printers during departmental or employee relocations
  • Travel to any branch when necessary if remote support doesn’t solve the problem

Security and Compliance

  • Enforce security policies and protocols to protect data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices

Documentation and Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, user requests, issue resolutions, and system configurations
  • Create how-to documents, checklists, and end-user documentation for policies, procedures, and software usage

Remote Support

  • Provide remote support to users working from different locations, using remote desktop tools and communication technologies

Additional Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledge of a wide range of operating systems and software for various electronic devices
  • Act as a system administrator for the company’s ERP system, troubleshooting hardware, software, and data issues
  • Familiar with social media platforms and capable of creating content and updating sites
  • Knowledge of web development (HTML, PHP, CSS, SQL, frameworks), website maintenance, and control panel management (WHM, cPanel)
  • Set up and troubleshoot email configurations on all devices and clients
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, and command-line interfaces
  • Familiarity with Android and iOS operating systems
  • Understanding of data transfer protocols, including FTP and XML
  • Set up and troubleshoot remote conferencing/access tools including Zoom, Web, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and new products
  • Knowledge and usage of Fortinet products
  • Maintain telephones and phone systems at all branches
  • Analyze data; create and run reports
  • Knowledge of cloud server technologies including Azure
  • Ability to read and understand code
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to work well under stress and deal with difficult people
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Quick learner with a self-teaching mindset
  • Ability to accurately remember, retain, and follow documented instructions and procedures—even for tasks performed only a few times per year

Position Overview:
We are searching for one motivated individual with expertise in Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing, who will lead the branch. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to managing daily operations.

Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals with expertise in Plumbing, Heating, and/or Electrical sales. This role combines customer service, sales, and warehouse responsibilities, making it a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior customer service experience is preferred

DRIVER – Elmira & Ithaca, NY branches

Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Drivers at our Elmira and Ithaca branches. This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while supporting warehouse operations.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a clean driver’s license (CDL is not required)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects 50+ lbs
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily deliveries to customers and other branch locations; track using a tablet
  • Collect and manage paperwork from branches
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Assist with receiving freight and putting away stock
  • Pick orders as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations


Work Schedule:
7:00 to 4:00; Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required.
